We are looking for a PRE-PRESS DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT for a company that treats, paints and protects aluminum profiles and parts so they can be used in construction, metal carpentry, windows, doors and facades. Located in Barberà del Vallès.
What you'll do
- Receive client files, archive them securely and keep information up to date by destroying all previous versions
- Review all completed work in order to confirm that it corresponds to the specifications of the client's file
- Perform unit layouts and montages for plates
- Perform cross-checks whenever deemed necessary due to the complexity of the work or in the case of new files
- Prepare all information necessary to perform controls during manufacturing (control samples, artwork copy and photolith)
- Manage the ordering of printing plates (cauchos)
- Operate the cutting plotter to cut varnish plates (cauchos)
- Correctly identify the information provided to other sections (e.g.: plates, printing plates...)
- Perform periodic maintenance of all machinery/instrumentation in the department to ensure the proper functioning of the section (e.g., processor)
- Maintenance of the "control samples" archive
- Maintain order and cleanliness in the department
- Report to QA any incident that could jeopardize the proper functioning of the department and of the organization in general from a quality standpoint
- Follow the instructions of the Production Manager, the compliance with quality protocols and the regulations coming directly from Management
