The role

Do you have manual dexterity and are you looking for a stable employment opportunity in the industrial and packaging sector? Would you like to learn a technical trade with real options for professional development? An important company specializing in graphic arts and prepress solutions is looking to hire a Mechanical Prepress Assistant for its workplace in Barcelona. This is an entry-level position with continuous training provided by the company and real growth prospects toward becoming a prepress operator.

What you'll do

Support the processing of photopolymer plates: cutting, exposure, washing, drying, and post-treatment according to technical data sheets and work instructions.

Perform the mounting of clichés onto sleeves or cylinders.

Execute the finishing and visual quality inspection before the order is dispatched.

Carry out basic and preventive maintenance of the equipment (cleaning, changing filters, consumables, and liquid control) and maintain workstation order (5S).

Pack, label, and prepare shipments to customers, coordinating collections with transport.

Receive and locate raw materials and consumables in the warehouse.

Complete manufacturing reports, register data in the management platform, and perform quality self-checks.

Comply with occupational safety regulations, use of PPE, and handling of chemical products.

Requirements

Minimum education: secondary school diploma (ESO) or equivalent.

Availability to work on a rotating shift system.
