Temps selects for an important client, a kitchen professional with demonstrable experience to join their facilities in Barcelona. We are looking for a person passionate about gastronomy, with a great capacity for teamwork and a firm commitment to quality and food safety.

The Cook position is fundamental for the correct functioning of our kitchen, guaranteeing the preparation of delicious dishes and complying with the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. If you have a vocation for cooking, possess solid experience, and move fluently in Spanish, this is your opportunity.

• Preparation and making of various dishes following the recipes and standards established by the company.
• Supervision and quality control of raw materials, ensuring their freshness and correct storage.
• Inventory management and stock control of food and other kitchen supplies.
• Rigorous maintenance of cleanliness and order in all areas of the kitchen, equipment, and utensils, complying with food hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP).
• Active collaboration with the kitchen team, including kitchen assistants and front-of-house staff, to ensure efficient and quality service.
• Participation in the creation and updating of menus, proposing new ideas and adapting dishes according to needs.
• Handling and care of kitchen machinery and equipment.
• Attention to special dietary needs or allergies of diners, ensuring the correct handling of food.
• Compliance with established schedules and service times.

Required Experience: Minimum 2 years

Languages: Proficiency in Spanish

• Experience: Minimum demonstrable experience of 2 years in similar positions as a Cook or related position in the catering or collective catering sector.
• Languages: Fluent command of Spanish, both orally and in writing. It is essential for effective communication within the team and with customers.
• Knowledge: Solid knowledge of culinary techniques, preparation of different types of dishes, and product knowledge.
• Hygiene and Food Safety: Knowledge and application of food hygiene and safety regulations, including HACCP systems.
• Skills: Capacity for organization, planning, and time management. Ability to work under pressure and in dynamic environments. Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Proactivity: Proactive, responsible attitude with great attention to detail.
• Education: Professional training in Cooking, Hospitality, or similar will be valued, although experience will be the primary factor.
