The role will primarily support the Iberian market, while also contributing to wider team tasks and projects across the region. This role requires someone who can work with a high level of autonomy, navigate complexity with maturity, and independently identify the right information, stakeholders, and solutions.
The location for this position is Arganda, Spain and this is a permanent position.

As Senior Customs Expert, you will:
- Drive operational performance of import, export and transit activities
- Act as a key point of contact for local customs authorities to ensure compliance
- Answer queries and provide support to stakeholders engaged in cross-border activities
- Drive operational interactions with brokers/3rd parties and continuously monitor relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Identify potential optimizations related to operating costs and opportunities for reducing customs duty spend
- Ensure end-to-end daily activities defined in the Customs roles and responsibilities matrix are executed in compliance with country rules and regulations
- Ensure compliance under the Authorized Economic Operator and Inward processing authorizations.
- Proactively avoid or mitigate any potential business continuity or economic risk related to Tetra Pak operational structure and its customs transactions
- Ensure the correct tariff classification of goods imported and exported
- Support the review of Inward Processing licenses, related controls, and ongoing compliance
