The role

We are looking for an MEP Project Manager for Madrid, Spain for various projects. 

Key responsibilities:

Additionally, the person must participate and collaborate in the Management System implemented through the knowledge and practical application of: 

  • Compliance with Quality and Environmental policies. 
  • Application of the Environmental Best Practices Manual. 
  • Compliance with global H&S policies and standards. 

What you'll do

  • Manage the design, as a specialist in, the areas of MV and LV electrical installations, mechanical: HVAC, PCI, BMS, PLUMBING, IT, Security, and general low current for the project. 
  • Main interlocutor with installation specialists from the teams involved in the design stage: client, engineering, and various consultants.  
  • Collaborate with the design manager and/or the Project Manager in the management and coordination of the parties involved in the project design stage. 
  • Support the construction manager in the management and coordination of the parties involved on-site during the construction stage regarding all installations. 
  • Assume responsibility for the management and coordination of the parties involved in construction (contractor(s) and Site Supervision) in the activities of their specialty. 
  • Support the procurement manager in the management of tenders. 
  • Provide support to the cost manager in the management of costs and changes within their specialty. 
  • Assume responsibility for the monitoring and control of the activities of their specialty regarding contractual compliance, deadlines, quality (through Site Supervision), and safety (through the Health and Safety Coordinator). 
  • Manage (in support of the Commissioning Manager) the Commissioning activities. 

Requirements

To be successful in this position, it is essential to provide: 

  • A minimum of 10 years of solid experience in the role.  Proficiency in Office 365 and Mproject software. 
  • Education: Industrial Engineering or equivalent. Professional-level English. 
  • Technical Competencies: Deep knowledge and mastery of the function and its responsibilities, of on-site Health and Safety standards, and of sustainability standards. 
  • Personal Skills: Coordination and planning capacity. High communication capacity with clients and a high capacity to generate impact in achieving objectives through other people (contractors). 
  • It will be necessary to have availability to live in the Madrid area.
