What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related technical field.
Strong commercial experience with CA Gen.
Experience installing, configuring and upgrading Gen environments.
Strong understanding of: Application Development, Component-Based Development (CBD), Batch Processing, Transaction Processin, Relational Database, Performance Tuning, UI Design and Development.
Experience delivering application modernisation or legacy transformation projects.
Experience with application re-platforming.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience working directly with enterprise customers.
Strong communication and consulting skills.
Ability to work independently while managing client relationships.
Strong English communication skills, written and verbal

The role

We're looking for an experienced Gen Consultant to join our Application Modernisation practice. This role is ideal for someone with deep CA Gen expertise who enjoys solving complex legacy challenges, advising clients, and leading modernisation initiatives.

You'll work closely with customers to help modernise business-critical systems, support application re-platforming and re-architecture projects, and provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle.

This is a senior consulting role where you'll combine hands-on technical expertise with client-facing consultancy to help organisations transform legacy applications and ensure successful project delivery.

What you'll do

You will join our engineering team as a valued member, working closely in a collaborative, autonomous, cross-functional team. You will help with the following:

Lead Gen consulting engagements with enterprise clients.
Analyse existing legacy applications and recommend modernisation strategies.
Support application re-platforming and system re-architecture initiatives.
Install, configure, upgrade and optimise CA Gen environments.
Design and develop solutions using CA Gen.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve application performance.
Work closely with customers to understand business requirements and propose technical solutions.
Deliver projects within agreed scope, budget and timelines.
Produce proof of concepts and technical prototypes.
Contribute to technical proposals, solution designs and client presentations.
Identify opportunities to improve existing systems and development processes.
Mentor junior consultants where required.
Support business development activities through technical expertise.
