What do we expect from you?

Proven experience in parks and gardens maintenance or in a related field
Skill in handling various gardening equipment and tools
Solid knowledge of plant care, including irrigation, fertilisation and pruning techniques
Familiarity with irrigation systems and their maintenance
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality green spaces
Strong teamwork and communication skills

The role

Join our team dedicated to Operations and Treatments in Parks and Gardens in the Canary Islands, Spain! We are looking for enthusiastic people to help maintain and improve our public green spaces, ensuring they remain vibrant and welcoming for both residents and visitors.

The main duties you will perform include:

Operate and maintain various gardening equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers and pruning tools.
Plant, water and care for trees, shrubs, flowers and lawns in public parks and gardens.
Implement and manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal plant health
Perform periodic grounds maintenance tasks such as weeding, mulching and leaf removal
Monitor plant health and apply pest control measures as needed
Assist in the design and creation of new garden layouts and features
Ensure all work areas are kept clean, tidy and safe for public use
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Respond to public enquiries and provide information about park facilities and plant care
