What we're looking for

Essential: degrees in Chemical, Industrial, Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, or similar.
Essential: Master's in chemical or environmental engineering, in the field of water production, treatment and/or valorization of waste streams.
Essential ability to work in a team, results orientation, self-management, and order.
Essential medium-high level of English.
Availability for occasional travel
Valid B driving license

Nice to have

Valuable experience in the management and execution of R&D&i projects and process engineering in the fields of water treatment and/or resource valorization.
Valuable: experience in operation and optimization of industrial processes.

Valuable: experience in the preparation of proposals and offers for the execution of R&D&i projects and services for both private clients and public calls (European/national).
Valuable: doctoral studies (completed or in progress) in the field of production, water treatment and/or valorization of waste streams.
Valuable: experience in pilot plant operation and laboratory work in water treatment.

The role

The hired researcher - project manager will technically and economically manage and execute projects mainly in the field of water resources management and planning, water treatment with physico-chemical processes, as well as wastewater valorization for the obtaining of by-products.
The project manager will develop tasks involving the execution of R&D&i projects, writing technical reports, participating in the design, operation, and monitoring of pilot and/or industrial facilities, and the dissemination of results. Additionally, they will participate in the preparation of R&D&i project proposals to be submitted to public funding bodies and private companies.
The project manager will join the work team and will mainly perform their duties at Cetaqua's offices in Barcelona, as well as at pilot plants, and whenever projects require it.

About the company & team

Cetaqua, Water Research Center, needs to incorporate a researcher / project manager to execute and manage R&D&i projects. The researcher - project manager will join Cetaqua's research team in Barcelona, executing and coordinating public (European/national) and/or private projects. Their responsibilities will mainly be the management, coordination, and execution of projects, as well as the transfer and industrialization of the results obtained.
