• Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical protection area. 

• Electrical protections and protection relays.
• Electrical grid and network topology.
• Testing with injection test sets (types OMICRON, SVERKER, FREJA, etc.)

• Former Industrial Engineering (Electrical intensification) or Master's in Industrial Engineering (electrical or automation specialty).

• Spanish: fluent level
• English: high level (oral and written)

Fanox, part of Wabtec Corporation, is headquartered in Derio (Bizkaia) and designs and manufactures electronic protection and control relays for Medium Voltage and Low Voltage applications.

As a Protection Engineer, you will be part of the Application area, collaborating closely with the area manager and the team to ensure that the equipment designed at Fanox is correctly validated and functioning optimally, ensuring that it meets market needs. 

• Validation of equipment through functional testing, failure analysis, and equipment operation. 
• Participation in approval processes. 
• Delivery of technical courses and seminars at national and international levels. 
• Review of customer technical specifications. 
• Internal and external technical support. 
• Preparation and updating of technical documentation. 

You will contribute to ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through technical validation of equipment and specialized support, guaranteeing that protection solutions meet customer standards and expectations.
