You will work in a highly qualified team, with excellent technology, in an international and multidisciplinary environment.

Job description

We want to strengthen our activity in the area of Building and Infrastructure Safety.

We are looking for a person with a solid background in numerical modelling and demonstrable skills in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Software Development, focused on advanced models and digital solutions in the field of risk in installations of new energy vectors.

The work will be carried out within the framework of European R&D projects and projects with industry, with an applied approach and oriented towards real impact in the sector.

What you'll do

Job description:

The selected person will be responsible for:

Designing and developing digital construction solutions based on data and artificial intelligence to improve performance, sustainability, safety and decision-making throughout the life cycle of buildings and infrastructures.

Developing predictive, optimization and hybrid physics-data models applied to the behaviour, operation, resilience and risk of built assets.

Implementing data pipelines, models and software components that integrate heterogeneous sources (sensors, simulations, databases, digital twins, external platforms) for their exploitation through advanced analytics and AI.

Contributing to the risk and vulnerability analysis of buildings and infrastructures in relation to the use and deployment of hydrogen, through models, data and simulations oriented towards safety, resilience and decision-making.

Participating in the technical definition and writing of R&D project proposals (especially European ones) and in the end-to-end technical execution of projects, from conceptualization to validation with clients and partners.

Working in collaboration with companies in the construction, engineering and energy sectors, acting as a technical reference in digital solutions applied to the built environment.

What we're looking for

Requirements

Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Engineering or similar.

5 years of experience in projects related to advanced numerical modelling, mainly Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) solutions.

Demonstrable experience in:

Programming in Python or other scientific languages.

Advanced data analysis and modelling.

Machine Learning, predictive models and optimization.

Hybrid physics-data models.

Data management, databases, pipelines and model deployment.

Experience in European R&D projects and/or projects with industry, participating in both definition and technical execution.

English level C1 or equivalent.

Nice to have

Will be valued

PhD or postgraduate training in Numerical Modelling, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Construction, Building Engineering or related areas.

Experience in risk, safety or resilience analysis in buildings and infrastructures, especially in contexts associated with new energy technologies such as hydrogen.

Experience in technology transfer or deployment of solutions in real environments.

Previous work experience in private industry.

What you'll get

TECNALIA offers

Joining a leading environment in Advanced Digital Construction and Resilient Building, working on European and high-impact industry projects.
