About the role

Job Mission:

Provide advisory and training services to our clients for the optimal operation and management of their surf parks, and ensure that every wave, product, and service delivered by Wavegarden achieves excellence, offering an unbeatable experience to visitors, smooth and safe operations, and maximum profitability for the business.

What you'll do

Functions:

  • Evaluate, optimize, and evolve waves using advanced technical criteria.
  • Lead technical and strategic negotiations with park owners, surf school directors, and/or partners.
  • Define, draft, and update surf park operating procedures in both Spanish and English, and present and implement these procedures at new facilities and current projects.
  • Define career plans and department objectives.
  • Master and defend surf park business plans, and design strategies to maximize revenue and profitability, overseeing budgets, costs, billing, and the area's P&L.
  • Prepare executive reports for management.
  • Lead trips to facilities and/or surf events/championships that may take place, managing the different operations derived from them (budgets, negotiation, team coordination, and reporting).
  • Provide training to operations teams at client sites.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and sponsors.

Required profile

  • Very high level of surfing to be able to assess and improve our waves.
  • Relevant knowledge of the surf industry (industry, competitions, schools) and related tourism.
  • 5 to 10 years of professional experience, especially in positions of responsibility within the entertainment or sports facility sector, preferably in an international environment.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in general office software.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional documentation preparation in both English and Spanish.
  • Experience leading teams and operational areas.
  • Strategic, organized profile with a results-oriented mindset.
  • High availability for travel, with on-site work when not traveling, in Aizarnazabal and/or San Sebastián.
