The role

We are looking for a person to join us as an SME Manager in the USM SME team. Your objective will be to analyze and underwrite risks, both in new business and renewals (within The Zurich Way of Underwriting framework), guaranteeing a high level of service to clients.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain good relationships with distributors (agents and brokers) to achieve business retention and acquisition, and collaborate with clients and distributors (agents and brokers) to determine their insurance needs and provide solutions.
Accurately calculate pricing by appropriately using Underwriting tools.
Measure exposure and analyze risks.
Budget, establish coverage, and negotiate terms.
Provide service to accounts and process rejections and cancellations.
Resolve technical problems by referring to policies, procedures, and specifications.
Detect everyday operational problems arising from other business functions, ensuring that an efficient, high-quality service is offered to all distributors and clients.
Provide possible points of improvement at an operational and technical level in order to improve our processes and products.
