Innovation Support Internship

• Complete a 6-month internship on a part-time or full-time basis. Start date from January to June.
• Bachelor's degree or official/qualifying master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering (water specialisation), Environmental Sciences, Biotechnology or other related qualifications
• Specific training in water treatment, environmental processes or purification technologies is valued.
• Desirable technical knowledge: Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment and regeneration processes.
• Familiarity with plant operation concepts, control parameters and basic mass balances.
• Elementary knowledge of data analysis and processing of experimental results.
• Basic command of office tools (especially Excel).
• Interest in technological innovation and applied research.
• Learning ability, initiative and a proactive attitude.
• Rigour in experimental work and data recording.
• Ability to follow procedures and safety regulations in a plant environment.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments and under supervision.
• Good observation, analysis and synthesis skills.
• Basic knowledge of technical English (reading documentation) is valued.
• Availability of a personal vehicle for commuting to the WWTP is required.

ACCIONA, in its Water business, needs to hire an intern for its Innovation department.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to actively collaborate in the innovation, applied research and technological development activities of ACCIONA's Innovation Department at a WWTP, supporting the operation, maintenance, sampling and monitoring of pilot water treatment plants, as well as the analysis of experimental data.

• Collaboration in the commissioning, routine operation, and monitoring of pilot plants and experimental systems, supporting the control of operating parameters and the correct functioning of the tested processes.

• Support in basic preventive maintenance tasks for equipment, such as cleaning, instrumentation verification, sensor inspection, and early detection of operational incidents.

• Participation in sampling different process streams, their correct preparation, preservation, and labeling, as well as in performing basic physicochemical analyses, in accordance with established procedures.

• Responsible for organizing, processing, and managing the experimental data generated in the pilot plants, ensuring its traceability and quality.

• Contribution by accompanying the technical team in the interpretation of results and extraction of conclusions, participating in technical follow-up meetings, which will allow for the acquisition of a global vision of the development of industrial innovation projects applied to water treatment.
