Planning Specialist

• Degree: Civil Engineering (Caminos, Canales y Puertos) or similar. Also Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Building Engineering.
• Languages: Advanced English (C1), another language is a plus.

Mission: to provide support in project monitoring and to accompany the different implementation phases of the planning processes within the project.

• Control and monitor all large EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects carried out by ACCIONA.
• Coordinate and monitor project schedules, directing the work of the planning team when necessary.
• Supervise project planning, resource analysis, functional integration, and forecasting and trend analysis in large-scale projects.
• Verify (and prepare if necessary) the work breakdown structure (WBS), key milestones, and project monitoring baselines.
• Perform risk assessment and provide value engineering solutions.
• Provide schedule analysis, hypothetical scenario simulation (What-If), and recommendations, as well as prepare reports and presentations to communicate the project status and analysis results.
• Coordinate project planning teams and develop and execute, if necessary, action plans in response to any deviations detected in the aforementioned aspects.
• Evaluate and advise on schedule issues linked to change management.
• Hold periodic meetings with company management to communicate project status, identifying deviations and risks, and proposing action plans.
• Take responsibility for tender schedules and the coordination of the planning team during the bidding phase.
• Coordinate between different areas and departments in order to develop a realistic tender/production schedule.
• Integrate engineering, construction, subcontractor, and supplier information to structure a master schedule.
• Prepare the schedule to facilitate cash flow (Cash Flow) calculation and earned value management (EVM) of the operation, ensuring accurate and timely reports on work progress, earned value, and performance during execution.
• Support contractual and claims management (claims) within the company's projects (requests for extension of time/EOT, claims, arbitrations, etc.).

ACCIONA, in its construction business line, needs to incorporate a Planning Specialist.

• Previous production experience between 2 and 5 years is a plus.
• International experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of Primavera P6, Ms Project.
• Knowledge of Last Planner System will be valued.
• Presentation and communication skills are a plus.
• Skills in change management development, performance management, and team building are a plus.
