Requirements

Previous experience of at least 1 year in a Room Service waiter position; experience in hotels of a similar category or fine dining restaurants will be valued.
Proficiency in Spanish and English (advanced level); possessing a third language will be valued.
Service-oriented.
Organized person, able to manage time, attentive to detail, and with tolerance for high work paces at certain times.
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
Possess the ability to focus attention on the customer's needs, always remaining calm and being polite and respectful.
Excellent verbal communication skills

Nice to have

Specific training in Hospitality or Catering is desirable.

The role

Job description

Reporting to the Maître and the F&B Operation Manager, you will be responsible for providing quality service that guarantees customer satisfaction, anticipating their requests, and responding positively to special requests.

Responsible for executing the service and sale of food and beverages in a qualified, autonomous, and responsible manner from the start until the order is delivered.
Attend to all calls regarding customer requests, constantly anticipating their needs.
Provide efficient, friendly, and professional service to all guests.

What you'll do

Always keep service trolleys and trays clean and prepared for the next order, following the established standards.
Orders will be taken following Sofitel standards and the specified times.
Orders will be served within the times stipulated by the standards and at the optimal temperature.
Manage your time and productivity effectively during your work shift.
Always ensure an equipped and clean station for the smooth running of service for yourself and your colleagues.
Adequately prepare both the "mise en place" as well as well-polished cutlery, glassware, and everything necessary for service.
Collaborate in the setup, service, and breakdown of buffets, as well as collaborate with colleagues in the preparation and execution of special events.
Always have complete knowledge of the food and beverage menu, to be able to explain, recommend, and sell dishes to our customers.
Follow and complete the instructions given by your superiors within the hotel.
Attend briefing and departmental meetings.
