Civil Works Site Manager

Job requirements:

• University degree in Civil Engineering, Roads, Canals, and Ports Engineering, or equivalent.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in directing civil works of medium or large scale.

• Solid knowledge of topography, structures, earthworks, drainage, paving, services, and quality control.

• Advanced proficiency in technical and management tools.

• Experience in contract management, planning, and cost control.

• Leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

• Availability to travel and reside temporarily at work sites.

We are looking to hire a Civil Works Manager who will be responsible for the technical and administrative management of the complete execution of infrastructure and civil works projects (roads, urban developments, hydraulic works, structures, networks, etc.).

Their mission is to ensure that the work is executed within the established budget, schedule, and quality, safety, and environmental standards. They will coordinate human, material, and technical teams, acting as the main liaison between the construction company, the technical management, and the client.

Main responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and direct construction activities according to the execution project, schedules, and budget.

• Control the correct technical execution of the works according to plans, specifications, and current regulations.

• Coordinate and supervise staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring the correct allocation of resources.

• Prepare and control the construction budget, analyzing deviations and proposing corrective measures.

• Carry out monthly certifications and economic control of the project (comparatives, measurements, production, etc.).

• Ensure compliance with current legislation on occupational risk prevention and the environment.

• Hold regular meetings with the technical management, the promoter, and technical services to monitor progress.

• Guarantee quality in materials and execution, implementing controls and tests.

• Coordinate the management of documentation, technical permits, contracts, and work certificates.

• Direct the final handover of the work, ensuring its correct completion and administrative closure.
