As the Territorial Medical Manager for the Central region and Galicia at Aegon, your main role will be managing Medical Expenses and Panel Management in your area.

Your area of responsibility covers everything related to healthcare in the Community of Madrid, Castile-La Mancha, Castile and León, and Galicia.

Your main responsibility will be to ensure that the provision of medical services in your area of responsibility is carried out with the appropriate quality and medical panel, as well as ensuring that the healthcare costs associated with this provision are reasonable.

  • Managing the medical panel in the assigned area, selecting, contracting, and supervising healthcare providers, ensuring service quality and negotiating rates.

  • Controlling medical expenses through variance analysis and implementing corrective measures to optimize costs and meet established targets.

  • Implementing the healthcare plan defined by the company and leading integration processes with healthcare providers.

  • Preparing the annual expense budget and conducting ongoing monitoring to ensure its compliance.

  • Maintaining a close relationship with key providers through regular visits, ensuring quality care and alignment with corporate objectives.

  • Managing incidents, addressing requests from panel professionals, resolving policyholder claims, and coordinating with other departments.

  • Collaborating closely with commercial teams and areas such as Legal Advisory, Benefits, and Authorizations to ensure effective coordination.

  • Preparing periodic reports for management on the results of medical management and expense control.

About your skills:

What we're looking for

  • Qualified physician. Other training in health sciences will be valued.

  • At least 5 years of experience in Medical Management in the health insurance sector

  • Knowledge of healthcare provision in your area

  • Cost control and potential variance management

  • Proficiency in Excel and Power BI databases

  • Experience in preparing reports on medical expenses

  • Availability for frequent travel

  • Own car and valid driver's license

Nice to have

  • Advanced level of English is a plus
