The role
At Airbus Defence and Space, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation in the aerospace industry. Our digital ecosystem relies heavily on data-driven intelligence and robust advanced technology. Within the Digital function, our AI & Analytics team acts as a central accelerator, providing advanced AI & Analytics platforms & services to drive operational efficiency and high-value decision-making across all divisions. We believe technology is only as powerful as its successful integration into daily business activities.
We are seeking an energetic, analytical, and highly structured AI Adoption Lead to join our AI & Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the practical integration of AI across the Airbus Defence and Space enterprise. Rather than simply managing tool delivery and operations/service, your focus is on ensuring our AI capabilities are actually proactively utilized, mastered, and integrated into the core workflows of our business units. You will act as the vital link between our technical capabilities and our business value, ensuring that our internal AI platforms deliver measurable impact and competitive advantage.
What you'll do
- Enterprise-Wide AI Adoption Strategy: Formulate, scale, and own the change management and adoption roadmap for internal AI services, aligning technological capabilities with practical business operational models.
- Macro-Adoption Monitoring & Metrics: Define, build, and maintain quantitative KPIs and executive dashboards to monitor macro-level AI adoption patterns, penetration rates, and operational engagement metrics across the division.
- Business Accompanying & Use Case Scaling: Partner closely with domain specialists and business unit heads to analyze current workflows, understand qualitative user behavioral trends, and hand-hold teams to scale up local AI initiatives into widespread, cross-functional successes. Lead tranversal events such as hackathons to scale the adoption of these new ways of working.
- Quality & Effectiveness Assurance: Establish governance standards to review and continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of user-AI interactions (e.g., prompt optimization, model behavior evaluation, verification of outputs) to prevent stagnation and minimize compliance risks.
- Value Realization & Leverage Tracking: Measure and report on the tangible value, efficiency gains, and operational cost-savings unlocked by the community, turning adoption metrics into business-case validation.
- Upskilling Frameworks & Communities of Practice: Devise and partner with stakeholders (e.g. digital academies, change leads) for creating tailored education pathways, workshops, and user feedback loops. Establish and nurture active AI advocate networks across the Airbus Defence and Space ecosystem to democratize best practices.
How you'll work
- Hybrid model of working when possible, promoting the work-life balance
At Airbus, we support you to work, connect and collaborate more easily and flexibly. Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking.
