What we're looking for
- Higher National Diploma in technical education (FP2) on sciences
- +5 years of experience working in biomedical research laboratory in the pharmacology field or Bs of science
- +2 years of experience in a research lab.
- Holding a EU license to work in procedures and projects on laboratory animal science or equivalent is a must
- Proficiency in mouse handling and dosing (intradermal, intralesional, topical intraperitoneal, subcutaneous, intravenous, and oral gavage)
- Ability to independently conduct tissue sample processing and analysis from rodents and/or minipigs using state of the art technologies.
- Excellent aseptic cell culture technique for handling human and murine primary cells and transformed cell lines
Nice to have
- Experience in RT-PCR, ELISA, Flow Cytometry and Western Blot techniques is highly desirable.
- Experience in state of the art immunology techniques to support isolation and ex vivo analysis of cells from animal tissues or human skin samples is a plus.
- Proficiency in the use of software tools to support data analysis (e. g., Prism, FlowJo, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
- Ability to communicate in English is a plus

Our research team in Barcelona is strengthening its core experimental department and is looking for a talented laboratory assistant with experience in in vivo Pharmacology. The team is enabling the small molecule and biologics pipeline from discovery up to preclinical development, and is co-responsible for the delivery of high quality therapeutic drug candidates with a high potential for success in clinical development.
What you'll do
- Perform in vivo studies to answer scientific questions and to characterize MoA and efficacy of compounds including new drug candidates
- Perform laboratory experiments and procedures, using state of the art laboratory equipment, recording and checking results for completeness and accuracy
- Plan and initiate established and new experimental approaches with a high level of independence
- Analyse and interpret experimental results and prepare reports/presentations
- Assist team members in the planning and execution of experiments.
- Carry out all laboratory activities in compliance with applicable regulations and protocols.
- Conduct literature searches and reviews, compiling information for journals and suggest uses for new techniques to the team.
- Maintain records of results and methodologies in electronic laboratory notebook.
- Maintain equipment, lab area and supplies in a neat professional manner
- Attend courses, lectures and conferences to further own knowledge on research and laboratory techniques, consulting with other researchers to exchange information.
- Contribute to an enriching, positive and inclusive lab environment.
