We are looking for an Occupational Health Specialist to join one of our centers.

Key job responsibilities

• Conduct occupational health examinations and provide medical assistance, including performing assessments, writing reports, and providing first aid.

• Participate in the WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) team, analyzing risks, proposing improvements, and managing highly sensitive cases.

• Coordinate with authorities, mutual insurance companies, and external prevention services on matters related to workplace accidents and investigations.

• Prepare epidemiological reports, improvement plans, and proactive programs to enhance employee health, as well as compiling statistical data for management.

• Ensure compliance with Spanish legislation, implement safety and ergonomics training programs, and foster a commitment to health among management and workers.

A day in the life

We start the day with a meeting with the nursing team to prepare for the day, followed by reviewing emails and messages on Slack and Chime. Then we begin health examinations and attend to any medical consultations that arise. After all, employee health is our top priority. We also work with occupational health and safety technicians to review incidents. We spend time managing and developing crucial projects to optimize individual and collective health. Other parts of the day may include meetings with stakeholders such as DDD, MUTUA, and CSS. We also spend some time managing and developing important projects to optimize individual and collective health. At the end of the day, it's time for the shift change, where we share the day's news.

About the team

The workplace safety and health (WHS) team plays a key role in protecting the mental and physical well-being of our people. Our team works with managers, technicians, and local governments in all our sites, ensuring compliance with Amazon's policies and regulations and the safety of our workplaces.

There are all kinds of roles within the team, from occupational health and safety technicians to program managers. Whatever your role, you will participate in the development, application, and maintenance of our strict safety and health standards. You will work on various projects with people from all over the company, from inspecting equipment and processes to evaluating procedures or designing stations and equipment.
