Job description
We are looking for a SAP IS-U Functional-Technical Consultant specializing in data migration, with experience in SAP projects and both functional and technical knowledge.
The selected person will join a strategic transformation project within the utilities sector, participating in the migration of information and business processes towards SAP IS-U.
The profile will have a transversal role, acting as a link between functional business needs and technical teams, and participating directly in analysis, extraction, transformation, loading, and data validation activities.
We are looking for a person with the ability to understand SAP IS-U business processes and, at the same time, work with data structures, migration tools, and technical loading and validation processes.
Main functions
• Functional and technical analysis of the data and processes involved in the migration towards SAP IS-U.
• Analysis of data structures from source and destination systems.
• Identification and definition of mappings between source data and SAP IS-U structures.
• Design and documentation of mappings and data transformation rules.
• Participation in extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Preparation, execution, and monitoring of migration cycles.
• Development and/or configuration of processes and tools necessary for migration.
• Execution of queries, analysis, processing, and data validation.
• Analysis of large volumes of information and detection of inconsistencies.
• Execution of loading processes and error monitoring.
• Functional and technical validation of migrated data.
• Performance of reconciliation and balancing processes between source systems and SAP IS-U.
• Analysis and resolution of functional and technical incidents during migration cycles.
• Participation in migration, integration, regression, and data validation testing.
• Preparation of functional and technical documentation.
• Collaboration with development, architecture, integration, data, and business teams.
• Participation in migration trials, cut-over activities, and production go-live.
• Support during the go-live and solution stabilization phases.

Requirements
Essential
• Minimum 4 years of experience in SAP projects.
• Experience in data migrations in SAP environments.
• Functional and technical knowledge of SAP IS-U.
• Experience working with SAP data structures and migration processes.
• Experience in the definition and execution of mappings and transformation rules.
• Knowledge of ETL processes: data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Knowledge of ABAP for analysis and/or development of migration programs.
• Knowledge of SQL for analysis, querying, and information validation.
• Ability to analyze and resolve both functional and technical incidents.
• Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Experience working with large volumes of data.
• Orientation towards detail and data quality.
• Communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience in different migration cycles and trials prior to go-live.
• Experience in cut-over and go-live activities.
