Requirements
What we're looking for
- 10+ years in IT infrastructure, operations, or monitoring, with at least 5 in observability/APM.
- 3+ years in technical pre-sales or solution architecture at an integrator or consultancy, responding to RFPs and public tenders.
- 3+ years leading technical teams (direct people management, not just coordination).
- Demonstrable experience with key accounts in Spain: banking, public sector, energy, or industry.
The role
We are looking for a Pre-sales and Observability Practice Manager for the Cloud & Modern Infrastructure (C&MI) department at Atos Iberia. You will lead the end-to-end observability offering, one of the pillars of the C&MI 2026-2027 strategy, and the technical team that delivers it.
This is a dual role: half of the time you will design and win offers (RFP, solutions, economic models) and the other half you will lead the team of specialists who implement and operate platforms such as Dynatrace, Grafana, and Elastic for clients in banking, the public sector, energy, and industry.
- Mission: to turn observability into a profitable and differentiating business line, evolving towards AIOps and AI-assisted operations
- Define and maintain the observability service catalog: reusable assets, reference architectures, offer templates, and success stories.
- Evolve the offering towards AIOps: event correlation, noise reduction, anomaly detection, remediation automation, and AI agents.
- Represent Atos at industry events, webinars, and forums.
What you'll do
- Technically lead observability offers: analysis of specifications and RFPs, solution design, technical documentation, and client defense.
- Build service and economic models (fixed/variable capacity, T&M, managed service, Observability Office) together with the sales team.
- Develop maturity assessments, master plans, and observability and AIOps roadmaps for clients.
- Manage technical relationships with vendors and partners (Dynatrace, Grafana Labs, Elastic, Splunk, Datadog, ServiceNow) and access to their programs.
- Identify growth opportunities within the existing client base.
- Direct, size, and grow the specialist team: selection, career plans, certifications, and evaluation.
- Assign resources between projects and pre-sales, controlling occupancy and profitability.
- Act as a technical reference and escalation point in critical projects.
- Guarantee the quality of implementation projects and managed observability services (SLA, KPI, customer satisfaction).
- Supervise the transition from project to service and the continuous improvement of dashboards, alerting, and SLOs.
