The role

Support

  • IT support for the area management of the hotels under their responsibility.
  • In coordination with the Central IT team, manage and provide support for the different IT solutions implemented or to be implemented in the hotels.
  • Provide support to the area management and the Central IT team for IT tasks related to hotel openings.
  • Visit the different hotels on a regular basis.

Service Desk

  • Provide first-level technical support to employees, both remotely and in person.
  • Resolve incidents related to hardware, software, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Register, prioritize, and follow up on requests and incidents through the ticketing tool.
  • Configure and maintain employee computer equipment and workstations in proper working order. Follow up on equipment renewal policies.
  • Install, configure, and update software and operating systems.
  • Train employees in the use of technological tools and internal solutions.
  • Provide/receive support for IT areas as required, mainly; PMS, Technical Area, and CAU.

Networks and Systems

  • Keep the inventory of all IT equipment in the hotels up to date, as well as the network documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain the hotel network infrastructure, ensuring continuous connectivity.
  • Perform network configuration, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Ensure network security by implementing access policies and data protection solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues in both administrative and public access areas (Wi-Fi).
  • Collaborate on the installation and maintenance of local servers.
  • Collaborate on the installation and maintenance of telephone systems.
  • Implement solutions to optimize network performance.
  • Oversee system backups and contingency plans to ensure business continuity.

Cybersecurity

  • Provide first-level support to hotel employees under their responsibility for detecting social engineering attacks (phishing, smishing, vishing, etc.) and other cybersecurity incidents.
  • Implement and maintain the security measures established by the Group's Cybersecurity Area to protect the technological infrastructure from internal and external threats in the hotels under their responsibility.
  • Supervise and manage security systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus/antimalware solutions.
  • Conduct periodic security audits to identify vulnerabilities in the systems and networks of the hotels under their responsibility.
  • Support users in the application of access control and authentication policies (e.g., role-based access control, two-factor authentication).
  • Provide support for responding to security incidents in the event of security breaches.
  • Stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats and best practices for protecting networks and data.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and teams to implement advanced cybersecurity solutions.
  • Train staff in cybersecurity practices, such as phishing prevention and secure handling of information.
