We are looking to hire a Naval Communications Engineer to participate in design, integration, and validation programs for communications systems in the naval field. The selected person will be part of high technological complexity projects, participating in systems engineering activities, requirements management, architecture definition, systems integration, and verification and validation of embarked communications solutions.
What you'll do
- Analyze, define, and manage requirements for naval communications systems and subsystems.
- Prepare and review technical documentation associated with system requirements and specifications (SSS, OCD, IDD, IDS, SSDD, and PDD).
- Manage requirements traceability throughout the system lifecycle.
- Define and control internal and external interfaces between systems and subsystems.
- Design naval communications architectures and identify components, functionalities, and interdependencies.
- Participate in systems engineering activities and functional modeling of communications solutions.
- Manage requirements and configuration using tools such as IBM Rational DOORS and IBM DNG.
- Participate in configuration control processes and engineering document management.
- Prepare requirements compliance and verification matrices (VCRM).
- Develop FAT, FIAT, HAT, and SAT test plans, procedures, and documentation.
- Participate in system verification and validation activities, recording and managing incidents and defects.
- Track engineering changes using change and configuration management tools.
