Design Leader - Automotive Sector

We are looking to hire a Design Leader Engineer to lead product design and development activities in an automotive Tier 1 environment. The selected person will be responsible for coordinating design activities during the development and industrialization phases, ensuring technical feasibility, compliance with customer specifications, and the correct evolution of the product until its final validation.

Your duties will be:

• Direct product design and development activities.
• Perform design feasibility studies and present technical solutions to the customer.
• Manage and coordinate the CAD team (including offshore teams).
• Participate in design reviews with internal teams and the customer.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and manage product geometry.
• Define reference systems, control points, and geometric requirements.
• Supervise and validate CAD data (3D), 2D drawings, and technical documentation.
• Ensure the correct updating of documentation in internal systems (TDM).
• Collaborate with tooling, injection, and suppliers to ensure industrial feasibility.
• Participate in the definition of fitment zones before tool launch.
• Coordinate the design and validation of parts with Tier 2 suppliers.
• Participate in cubing and validation events with the customer.
• Analyze dimensional results and assembled product quality.
• Propose design improvements to meet specifications and final homologation.
• Manage design changes and follow up on the action plan.
• Report progress, deviations, and technical proposals.

• Proficiency in Catia V5.
