At BETWEEN, we are looking to hire a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to participate in projects with a high technological component within the communications and electronic systems area in Cerdanyola del Vallès.

The selected person will assume responsibility for the development of power electronics for the assigned product, participating in the entire cycle of design, simulation, commissioning, validation, and documentation.

• Detailed design of low and medium power DC/DC converters.
• Analog electronics design: circuits with operational amplifiers, bipolar transistors, filters, alarms, signal conditioning, etc.
• Design of power topologies such as Flyback, Forward, Push-Pull, Half-Bridge, Buck, and Buck-Boost.
• Design of control circuits and filters associated with the converters.
• Simulation and modeling of power circuits using PSpice, LTspice, or similar tools.
• AC analysis and study of stability and transfer functions of DC/DC converters.
• Creation of schematics and participation in PCB layout.
• Commissioning, characterization, adjustment, and debugging of hardware in the laboratory.
• Handling of instrumentation: oscilloscopes, electronic loads, frequency analyzers, etc.
• Performing design and reliability analysis: Worst Case, Part Stress, FMEA, among others.
• Preparation of technical documentation, design documentation, and manufacturing documentation.
• Interaction with other engineering areas during product development.
• Technical liaison with customers and suppliers.
• Monitoring and reporting the status of the product to project managers and the customer.
• Technical support in the preparation of offers.

• Electronic, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent training.
• Approximately 5 years of experience or more in electronic design, with a special focus on power electronics.
• Real experience in DC/DC converter design and solid knowledge of different power topologies.
• Experience with PSpice, LTspice, or equivalent simulation tools.
• Knowledge of analog design and converter control.
• Experience in schematic design and PCB layout.
• Practical experience in the laboratory and commissioning of electronic equipment.
• Knowledge of EMC.
• Knowledge of magnetic component design.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git, Mercurial, or Subversion.
• Ability to assume technical responsibility for the product and work autonomously.
• Previous experience in sectors such as: Space / Defense / Aeronautics / Automotive / Industry.
