The role

Would you like to start your professional career working with data and technology in a real-world environment?

At Brico Depôt, we are looking to add an intern to our Data team who is eager to learn, experiment, and begin developing their career in the world of data.

We are not looking for you to arrive knowing everything. What matters more to us is that you have curiosity, a good technical foundation, and a great desire to learn.

If you are studying something related to Data, Computer Science, or Technology and Python and SQL don't sound like Greek to you, we want to meet you. 😉

What you'll do

You will join the team and participate, always with guidance and supervision, in real projects related to our data platform.

Among other things:

☁️ You will work in our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment using technologies such as BigQuery and dbt.
🔄 You will provide support in the migration of data ingestion flows.
👨💻 You will participate in the development of new data ingestions, with guidance from the team.
📚 You will help update and maintain ingestion and pipeline documentation.
🚀 And, above all, you will have the opportunity to learn how a data environment works within a retail company.

These are precisely the main responsibilities currently planned for the internship.

👀 What are we looking for?

You might be studying:

Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, or similar studies.
Degrees related to Data, Computer Science, or Technology.
An Advanced Vocational Training Cycle (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior) related to development, computer science, data, or similar areas.

For us, more than the name of your studies, it will be important that you have some technical foundations.

We would like you to have:

Notions of Git / GitHub.
Notions of SQL.
Initial knowledge of Python.
A great desire to learn and develop in the world of data.

It will be a plus if...

You have had some previous contact with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
You have done personal or academic projects related to data.
You are especially interested in the world of Data Engineering.

Git/GitHub, SQL, and a junior level of Python are the skills the team has marked as important; GCP is desirable, but not essential.
