Requirements

What we're looking for

Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or similar.
Experience in firmware development for embedded systems.
Solid programming knowledge in C and/or C++.
Knowledge of microcontrollers, microprocessors, and embedded architectures.
Experience with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, or Ethernet.
Experience using hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD debuggers.
Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git.
Understanding of hardware-software integration and system-level debugging.
Ability to analyze technical problems and propose efficient solutions.

Nice to have

Knowledge of RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems) and Embedded Linux.
Experience with bootloaders, device drivers, and low-level hardware interfaces.
Knowledge of firmware testing methodologies and test automation tools.
Experience in Python or other scripting languages for automation.
Knowledge in power management, memory optimization, and performance improvement.
Experience with CI/CD environments for embedded software.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

We are looking for a Firmware Engineer to join our engineering team and participate in the design, development, validation, and maintenance of firmware for embedded systems. The selected person will work closely with hardware, software, and systems teams to ensure the correct integration of technological solutions, while also contributing to the performance optimization and quality of our products.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and maintain firmware for embedded systems and hardware devices
Program, debug, and optimize code in C and C++.
Develop and integrate low-level software for the control of hardware components and peripherals.
Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams to ensure correct integration of solutions.
Perform testing, debugging, and analysis of firmware issues.
Analyze system performance, memory usage, and resource consumption.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including firmware specifications and testing procedures.
Provide support in hardware validation, systems integration, and product verification activities.
Investigate and resolve defects detected during the development and testing phases.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.

How you'll work

You will have a flexible schedule.
You will have a PC and the necessary peripherals for your work.
Four days on-site in Sant Cugat del Vallés and one from home.
