About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Planner who will report directly to the Maintenance Director and who will ensure the correct planning and follow-up of corrective and preventive maintenance activities, organizing the necessary resources to optimize the performance of the industrial means of extraction, transportation and processing of slate, ensuring that work is carried out with the necessary quality and compliance with the imperative safety requirement.

What you'll do

Your main functions and responsibilities will be:

- Coordinate maintenance resources efficiently

- Organize and control Cupa Pizarras's preventive maintenance activity in a manner consistent with the needs of the rest of the organization

- Develop preventive work routines and the application of maintenance methods.

- Coordinate the PMA (Autonomous Maintenance Plan) with the plants, mines, and quarries and exploit their results.

- Manage the recording of maintenance activities and the organization of their work orders so as to ensure the subsequent use of data that allows optimizing service and asset management.

- Ensure the quality of corrective and preventive maintenance work through monitoring and on-site visits where appropriate.

- Ensure compliance with safety requirements in maintenance, helping to spread the culture of respect for people and safety throughout the organization.

- Promote the training and qualification needs of maintenance personnel.

- Provide technical opinions related to their area

- Authorize extraordinary activities and presences

- Carry out field visits to check the state of maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

- Technical Engineer or higher-level vocational training graduate with experience performing similar functions for a minimum of 3 years of experience with evidence of success.

- Desirable technological knowledge of slate production processes: stripping, wire cutting, transport, sawing, dressing, cutting, selection, and packaging.

- Knowledge of maintenance of mining machinery and heavy vehicles

- Basic knowledge of lean, continuous improvement, and process optimization: 5Ss, standardization, problem-solving methodologies, Six Sigma, SMED,…

- Knowledge of industrial maintenance.

- Planning, analysis, synthesis, communication, and autonomy skills.
