The role
Cupa Pizarras is the undisputed world leader in roofing slate. One out of every two slates in the world has come from our quarries in Valdeorras, from where we export to more than 90 countries across five continents.
We extract slate from our quarries and interior mines, and transform it at our production plants in the Valdeorras area, from where we export to the rest of the world. One of the major challenges the Group currently faces is the automation and application of technology and artificial intelligence to the production process. We are fully immersed in an Industry 4.0 project, the "fourth industrial revolution", which will allow us to implement intelligent technologies in our extraction, production, logistics, and transport processes, among others.
In this context of change and industrial revolution, we are looking for a Maintenance Director who, reporting to the Operations Directorate, will have the following functions and responsibilities:
What you'll do
- Define, plan, and optimize the preventive and corrective maintenance strategy, guaranteeing the availability of equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate and supervise the maintenance of heavy machinery, industrial equipment, and production lines, leading the resolution of critical incidents.
- Plan and assign tasks for the maintenance team.
- Control the maintenance budget, performing cost, breakdown, and performance indicator monitoring.
- Participate in the planning and validation of technical and infrastructural investments.
- Guarantee the supply of essential services, compliance with safety standards, and the implementation of a preventive culture.
- Report to management.
Requirements
- Technical training in Industrial Maintenance or similar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance of industrial equipment and production lines in multi-center environments.
- Leadership capacity, team management, and results orientation.
- Organized, methodical, analytical person with planning capacity.
- Accustomed to working in demanding industrial environments.
- Interest in innovation and staying updated on new maintenance technologies.
