Job Title/Position: Boiler Commissioning Manager

Project: EPC project for a new biomass plant in Olmedo (Valladolid)

Reporting hierarchically to the Commissioning Manager (PEM), the role will be responsible for executing commissioning work in their specialty, and for the execution and documentation of tests on instrumentation and control systems. Responsible for the commissioning instrumentation workforce team, with the following duties:

• Drafting procedures, protocols, guides, instructions, or similar documents required to carry out commissioning work. Supplementing the contents of manufacturer or engineering manuals regarding testing, commissioning, and maintenance.

• Reviewing / Updating / Drafting the list of consumables required for the commissioning of boiler systems.

• Reviewing / Updating / Drafting the general maintenance plan for boiler systems and components.

• Inspection of static equipment, dynamic equipment, piping, panels, instruments, and cables (with support from the IRS of each discipline) associated with boiler systems, in accordance with engineering documentation and manufacturer instructions.

• Verification of calibrations of components, equipment, and instruments, as well as the test and measurement equipment involved in commissioning tasks.

• Reviewing / Supervising / Ensuring that all cold commissioning tests are carried out on boiler system equipment, components, and materials, not included in the construction scope and required for hot commissioning. Coordinating direct labor activities.

• Reviewing / Supervising / Ensuring that all hot commissioning tests are carried out on boiler system equipment, components, and materials. Coordinating direct labor activities.

• Reviewing / Supervising / Ensuring that all functional tests of boiler systems are carried out in accordance with the commissioning procedures developed by engineering / the supplier.

• Reviewing / Supervising / Ensuring that all commissioning and start-up tasks of boiler systems carried out by the supplier are performed. Coordinating the supplier's attendance sufficiently in advance based on project needs, and ensuring that the requirements indicated by the supplier upon arrival are met for the performance of their work.

• Reviewing and ensuring that all commissioning documentation is prepared and completed: test protocols, action and status reports, and red marks of boiler systems.

• Reviewing / Supervising / Ensuring that all preventive maintenance of boiler system components and/or equipment transferred to commissioning is carried out until final handover to Operations & Maintenance (O&M).

• Inspection and acceptance of transfers from Construction to Commissioning regarding boiler system scopes. Including deficiencies detected during the transfer walkdown.

• In coordination with the rest of the IRS and following the guidelines of the Commissioning Manager, planning and controlling the progress of boiler system work, coordinating with the LOTO the lockout/tagout procedure for work permits on transferred equipment.

• Responsible for the MOD personnel working on boiler commissioning, controlling their performance and incurred costs, as well as ensuring compliance with project safety and quality requirements.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Boiler Commissioning Engineer in industrial plants, with at least one experience as a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer in a plant of similar characteristics, Combined Cycle (CC) / Biomass / Cogeneration.

Basic HSE training is valued.

Biomass plant located 5 km north of Olmedo (Valladolid).

Continuity on other projects may be offered depending on workload and geographic flexibility.

Contract tied to the project, with a currently planned duration of 7 months.
