About the role

At Estel, we are specialists in comprehensive installations (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, telecommunications, and trigeneration) for hotel projects, premium residential developments, and highly complex builds. With an international presence across multiple countries, we are looking to bring on board an Electromechanical Commissioning Manager for our projects in Mexico. You will be part of the commissioning team, reporting to the Commissioning Team Lead, with a key role in the verification and startup of all electromechanical installations. The position is open to both local profiles and candidates willing to relocate from Spain.

What you'll do

  • Execute and supervise the commissioning of electromechanical installations: HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, LV/MV electrical installations, generator sets, electrical panels, and distribution systems.

  • Perform functional, performance, and safety tests on electromechanical equipment in accordance with established protocols.

  • Coordinate with the construction team and subcontractors to resolve issues and outstanding items (punch list) within the electromechanical scope.

  • Verify that installations comply with project specifications, applicable regulations, and Estel quality standards.

  • Participate in the calibration and adjustment of equipment: pumps, chillers, boilers, fan coil units, AHUs, distribution panels, etc.

  • Prepare technical test reports, verification checklists, and as-built documentation within your area of responsibility.

  • Coordinate with the BMS Manager for the joint integration and validation of electromechanical systems with management and control systems.

  • Report progress, issues, and the status of electromechanical commissioning to the Commissioning Team Lead.

Requirements

  • Education in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commissioning electromechanical installations in building projects (hotel, premium residential, healthcare, or similar).

  • Solid knowledge of HVAC systems, LV/MV electrical installations, plumbing, and fire protection.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and process diagrams.

  • Proficiency with measurement instrumentation and testing equipment (megohmmeter, pressure gauges, flow meters, network analyzers, etc.).

  • Willingness to reside in Mexico and travel within the country.
