Purpose:
Tractor driver personnel are responsible for operating and maintaining agricultural machinery, specifically tractors, to support cultivation, harvesting, and maintenance tasks on fruit and vegetable farms. Their role is essential to guarantee efficiency and quality in the production processes within the company.
What you'll do
- Handling of agricultural machinery:
- Drive and operate the tractor and other agricultural equipment such as seeders, cultivators, sprayers, among others, according to the needs of the farm.
- Perform plowing, sowing, fertilization, irrigation, and harvesting tasks for the crops.
- Machinery maintenance:
- Inspect and verify the operation of tractors and equipment before and after use.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment, checking oils, fuel levels, and tire pressure.
- Report any faults or repair needs to the maintenance supervisors.
- Collaboration in agricultural tasks:
- Participate actively in land preparation for sowing, performing pest control tasks, and crop fertilization.
- Supervise irrigation and crop status during tractor use.
- Compliance with safety and environmental regulations:
- Ensure that all operations are carried out in compliance with occupational safety and environmental protection regulations.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow established safety procedures.
- Control and monitoring of tasks:
- Record activities performed and working times across different crops, as well as any incidents that arise during the tasks.
