You will be part of the Communications team at Kumo Networks, an IT services company belonging to the El Corte Inglés group. You will play a key role in the maintenance, optimization, and security of the network infrastructure, ensuring reliable, high-performance, and secure connectivity for our services and clients in Data Center and cloud environments.

Main duties and requirements.

Functions:

• Collaborate closely with other technical teams to implement comprehensive solutions and ensure quality service.
• Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement and maintain network security policies, including firewall and VPN configuration, to protect data.
• Stay up to date on the latest trends and advances in networking and cybersecurity to adapt protective measures.
• Constantly monitor the network to proactively detect and resolve performance, congestion, or security issues.
• Provide technical support to diagnose and resolve incidents and issues related to network connectivity.

• Networks and protocols: Knowledge of network principles and protocols. Understanding how networks work and how to configure and manage network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Network architectures: Familiarity with different network architectures, such as LAN, WAN, and WLAN. Understanding best practices in network configuration and segmentation, as well as the implementation of security and quality of service policies.
• Network security: Knowledge of firewall technologies (preferably Palo Alto and Fortinet).
• Load Balancing: General knowledge of how a load balancer works.
• Network monitoring and management tools: Experience using network monitoring tools to oversee network performance, availability, and security. Knowing how to interpret monitoring data and take corrective action when necessary.
• Network troubleshooting: Skills to diagnose and solve network connectivity, performance, and security issues. Being able to use diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques to quickly identify and resolve any network incident or outage.
