We have an opening for an intern in the European Regulation and Policy Management department, belonging to the EU Energy Policy & Regulation Development Directorate for our headquarters in Madrid (Pº de los Olmos), for someone who wants to be part of a project with real impact. Aimed at a person with an interest in the energy transition, analytical capacity, attention to detail, and a desire to learn in an international and multidisciplinary environment. We will value knowledge in energy, economics, engineering, or European affairs, as well as a good level of English.

What you'll do

You will be part of the European Regulation and Policy team, collaborating on the analysis of European regulation in the energy sector, with a special focus on the deployment and development of hydrogen infrastructures. You will support the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation for regulatory bodies, European associations, and other sector entities, working on projects that contribute to the energy transition and decarbonization. Additionally, you will participate in the monitoring of regulatory initiatives and the analysis of regulatory aspects related to energy infrastructures.

  • Monitor and evaluate regulatory developments and energy policy, with a focus on natural gas and hydrogen within the European sphere.

  • Provide support in project development, presentations, and the preparation of meetings regarding European regulatory frameworks.

  • Prepare technical reports on energy/regulation and the Activity Report that compiles the Directorate's and Enagás's activities related to participation in European groups.

  • Provide support in the monitoring and coordination of scenarios and European planning of hydrogen, natural gas, and electricity networks.
