Requirements

What we're looking for

8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps.
5+ years of experience working with AWS.
Demonstrable experience designing and operating enterprise data platforms in the cloud.
Experience leading technical projects or initiatives.
Advanced knowledge in:
- AWS Architecture
- Apache Airflow / Amazon MWAA
- Terraform
- Python
- Amazon ECS & AWS Fargate
- Amazon Redshift
- GitHub Actions (CI/CD)
- Ansible
- Advanced SQL
- Data Lake and Data Warehouse
- Governance and metadata management
Experience in Agile environments (Jira and Confluence).

Nice to have

dbt Core, dbt Cloud, and Semantic Layer.
Data Mesh.
Apache Iceberg.
Apache Spark 3.
FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
AWS CloudFormation.

The role

At Expleo, we are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer & Cloud Architect to lead the design, evolution, and operation of a corporate data platform on AWS. You will be part of an international environment, collaborating with global teams to drive technological modernization, automation, and large-scale data architecture initiatives.

What you'll do

Design and evolve data architectures on AWS.
Lead end-to-end technical initiatives, from design to production.
Define standards, best practices, and architecture patterns.
Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform.
Design and optimize data workflows with Apache Airflow (MWAA).
Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
Manage and optimize services such as ECS/Fargate and Redshift.
Develop automations using Python and Ansible.
Ensure scalability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Participate in governance, quality, and metadata management initiatives.
Mentor technical profiles and foster continuous improvement.
