At Expleo, we are looking to recruit a Railway Signaling Testing Technician to participate in a technical assistance and maintenance support project for the signaling systems of the Barcelona Metro, working on Lines 1 and 3.

You will be part of a specialized technical team that provides support for the operation and maintenance of signaling systems, participating in incident resolution, technical analysis, documentation, and small modifications or upgrades.

This is an especially interesting position for professionals with experience in railway signaling, interlockings, CBTC, track circuits, or electrical/electronic systems, who want to work in an environment where safety, reliability, and technical rigor are fundamental.

🔧 What will your mission be?

Your day-to-day will be oriented towards providing technical assistance for the maintenance of signaling systems, rather than directly performing operational maintenance.

Among your responsibilities will be:

• Provide technical support for incidents in the signaling systems.
• Analyze logs, events, and technical data to identify possible causes of failure.
• Evaluate and monitor maintenance activities.
• Participate in small modifications, upgrades, and improvements to the signaling systems.
• Work with electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
• Interpret electrical diagrams and plans.
• Participate in work related to interlockings, track circuits, and signaling systems.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and manuals.
• Document the actions taken and monitor deliverables.
• Provide support to the client regarding incidents and technical needs.
• Work coordinately with the teams involved in the maintenance and operation of the Metro.

🕐 An important part of the project: shifts and on-call duties

The project requires availability to work day and night shifts, approximately 50% of the time.

Additionally, there is a rotating on-call system, as the team provides assistance for potential incidents 24/7. Calls outside of hours are not common, but it is important to have availability to be part of this on-call system.
