Senior RF Design Engineer – Space Sector

We are looking for a professional who meets the following technical requirements:

• 5 or more years of experience in RF design.

• Specific experience in design of detailed RF transmission and reception (Tx/Rx) architectures.

• Experience in analog/digital or mixed RF circuitry design.

• Experience in RF power amplifier design.

• Knowledge/experience with GaN, GaAs, LDMOS and/or high-efficiency architectures.

• Experience in linear and non-linear RF simulation with ADS or equivalent tool.

• Experience in analog simulation with LTSpice or similar.

• Hands-on experience with network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, and signal generators.

• High level of English.

Previous experience in the space sector is not essential. We will value profiles from space, telecommunications, defense, radar, or other technological environments with a strong RF design component. The following will be especially valued:

• Experience in satellite communications.

• Signal processing and architectures for satellite communications.

• Design for satellite embedded systems.

• Knowledge of ECSS space standards or equivalent.

• Experience with components intended for space applications.

• Knowledge of:

  • VCOs.

  • PLLs.

  • Antennas.

• Electromagnetic simulation using CST, HFSS, or equivalent tools.

At Expleo, we are looking to hire a Senior RF Design Engineer to participate in highly complex technological projects within the space sector, working on the design of RF transmission and reception architectures and circuits.

You will participate in the design and development of RF solutions for high technological demand applications, working on transmission and reception architectures across different frequency bands. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Design of RF Tx/Rx architectures in different frequency bands.

• Design of analog, digital, and mixed RF circuitry.

• Design of RF power amplifiers and high-efficiency architectures.

• Work with GaN, GaAs, and LDMOS technologies.

• Design of compact RF circuits.

• Design and analysis of System-on-Chip solutions.

• Linear and non-linear RF simulation using ADS or equivalent tools.

• Analog simulation using LTSpice or equivalent tools.

• Characterization and validation of designs through:

  • Spectrum analyzer.

  • Vector Network Analyzer (VNA).

  • Scalar and vector signal generators.

• Collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams during different design and validation phases.
