Financial Controller

At Faster Burgos, we are looking for a Controller for an important multinational in the industrial sector, located in Burgos.

In this position, you will be responsible for supervising financial and analytical accounting, participating in monthly and annual closings, preparing reliable financial information, and collaborating with Finance and other departments to ensure compliance with internal procedures.

Accounting and closing

• Prepare and supervise monthly financial and analytical accounting, as well as monthly and annual accounting closings.
• Support internal and external audits and prepare Annual Accounts and Official Books.
• Control and reconcile physical inventories with the general ledger, including FIFO valuation, counts, obsolescence, and goods in transit.
• Calculate standard costs for new products and perform quarterly calculations for all items, including verification and control.
• Analyze variances and separate the results of production lines in the profit and loss account.

Reporting, taxation and planning

• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting and complete the Actuals vs. Forecast, Sustainability, and Taxes information in the ERP.
• Analyze creditors, current contracts, inventories, taxes, imports, sales, OPEX, working capital, and main variances.
• Manage matters related to Corporate Tax, including monthly expense, tax payable, and preparation of Form 200.
• Collaborate on the Annual Budget and quarterly Forecasts, upload information into the ERP, and monitor working capital.
• Perform monthly and quarterly internal controls and update internal audit action points.

Other responsibilities

• Monthly control of imports in transit and received, and verify the correspondence of import expenses.
• Authorize payments in accordance with current powers of attorney.
• Provide cover for absences within the Accounting Department, especially in Treasury.
