We are looking for an HSE Technician to ensure the safety and health of workers through the identification, evaluation and control of occupational risks, promoting a solid preventive culture and compliance with current regulations, with the aim of reducing accident rates, improving working conditions and fostering safe and healthy work environments.

What you'll do

The main duties will be:

Carry out and keep up to date risk assessments for the different jobs, processes and facilities, identifying hazards and proposing preventive and corrective measures.

Ensure compliance with current occupational risk prevention legislation, as well as internal procedures and applicable legal requirements.

Participate in the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the occupational health and safety management system in accordance with the ISO 45001 standard.

Identify opportunities for improvement in equipment, facilities and processes, proposing technical solutions that reduce risks and improve ergonomics and safety.

Verify that workers use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and that it complies with current regulations and safety standards.

Collaborate with the Human Resources department in the design, planning and delivery of training activities on prevention, as well as awareness campaigns.

Monitor and analyse the main HSE indicators (incidence rate, severity rate, frequency, etc.), proposing improvement actions.

Participate in internal and external audits of the HSE management system, as well as in periodic safety inspections at workplaces.

Collaborate with the Human Resources and Legal Advisory departments in the investigation of incidents and occupational accidents, ensuring their proper reporting, cause analysis and definition of corrective measures.

Ensure the presence and proper performance of preventive resources in activities that require them, in accordance with regulations and preventive planning.

Requirements

Required education:

University degree in Industrial Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences and/or related fields.

University Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (3 specialisations).

Desirable specific training:

ISO standards (45001), Ergonomics, Psychology, Industrial Hygiene and/or related fields.

Required experience:

Minimum accredited professional experience of 1 year in similar roles.
