Industrial Maintenance Technician (Shifts)

• Vocational training qualification (Intermediate or Higher Level) in electromechanics, mechatronics, mechanics, electrical, or industrial refrigeration.
• 3 years of previous experience in a similar role is required.
• Shift work across 3 shifts (Day/Afternoon/Night).
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays.
• Experience must include troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing defective parts, adjusting machinery, and modifying units to meet appropriate operational specifications.

QUALITY:
• Follow all required Good Manufacturing Practices, quality, and food safety requirements. Additionally, the employee must report any quality or food safety findings or incidents to their supervisor or other designated personnel.

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT:
• Follow safety and environmental objectives and goals, adhere to plant safety rules, report incidents and unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and consult safety and environmental management systems in all related procedures and programs.

Within the Ice Cream Business, Ferrero Ice Cream Factory (ICFC), one of the largest ice cream manufacturers in Europe acquired by Ferrero in 2019, we are currently looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician whose main duties will be:

• Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and performance of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on equipment and systems supporting production and facilities.
• Applying knowledge to maintain assets to the highest possible standards.

This position works collaboratively to achieve Ferrero's goals in safety, productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and environmental sustainability.

- Reading electrical schematics
- Connecting and programming variable frequency drives. Setting control and communication parameters.
- Adjusting vision systems, X-ray machines, and metal detectors.
- Adjusting laser coders: ability to create new print templates and manage existing ones.
- Thermal inkjet or thermal transfer printers: ability to create new print templates and troubleshoot faults.
- Static and dynamic scales: troubleshooting both operational and connection faults. Ability to detect anomalies.
- Ability to use machinery such as vertical drills and grinders, and make adjustments.
- X-ray and metal detector equipment: ability to operate autonomously on faults, create new recipes autonomously.
- Operator panels (HMI): managing machine parameters.
- Fault detection on servo motors and drives. Configuring drives and commissioning.
- Pneumatics: good knowledge of solenoid valves, including from a control perspective (coils) and their characteristics and interchangeability. Reading schematics. Knowledge of proportional solenoid valves. Ability to perform fault analysis.
- Replacing motors, geared motors, or brushless motors, finding suitable alternatives even with minor modifications.
- Corrective tasks: performing all types of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic fault repairs.
- TIG welding (at least basic level)
- Knowledge of freezer operation in production and repairs
- Workshop repairs
- Knowledge of FANUC robots.
