Requirements

What we're looking for

Experience of 6 years or more in backend software development with Java.
Solid experience in the design and development of microservices-based architectures using Spring Boot.
Demonstrable experience in development with Python.
Extensive knowledge in the design and implementation of REST APIs.
Experience applying good development practices (Clean Code, SOLID, design patterns) and performing code reviews.
Ability to technically lead developments, mentor less experienced profiles, and collaborate on technical decision-making.
Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
English level B2 or higher.
Availability to come to the office 3 days a week (Madrid or Bilbao)

Nice to have

Valuable experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

We currently have openings in Madrid and Bilbao for Backend Software Engineers (Java, Microservices, and Python) who want to advance their professional career at GFT. What you'll do

Although they will depend on your knowledge and experience, in general the main functions you would carry out with us would be:

Understanding client needs and working closely with the corresponding teams to ensure that the cloud solution developed is aligned with the needs and GFT's Value Proposition.
Analyze, develop, and maintain software modules (Java, Python), working on both existing code and new developments, based on functional and technical requirements and specifications.
Perform code reviews, identifying improvement opportunities and promoting good development practices.
Collaborate on the design and development of software module and application prototypes.
Design, develop, and execute unit tests, ensuring the quality and proper functioning of the developed code.
Use and consolidate knowledge of testing tools and processes, as well as bug tracking management, used in the project.
Actively participate in the different phases of the software development lifecycle, from analysis to deployment and maintenance.
