Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer GCP

• Experience of 6 years or more in a similar role

• Experience working with advanced SQL.

• Experience with BigQuery.

• Solid knowledge of Looker, especially in the construction and maintenance of semantic models.

• Experience in dimensional modeling and semantic model design.

• Ability to define KPIs, metrics, and measurement criteria together with the business areas.

• Knowledge of data visualization and reporting best practices.

• Knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform, GCP ecosystem.

• Ability to maintain direct and effective communication with business profiles.

• English level B2 or higher.
• Availability to come to the office 3 days a week (Madrid or Bilbao)

• Previous experience in Banking will be valued

We currently have vacancies in Madrid and Bilbao for a Data Analyst with a strong orientation toward Analytics Engineering to join a growing data team and participate in the construction of scalable, high-impact analytical products for those who wish to develop their professional career at GFT. Although they will depend on your knowledge and experience, in general the main functions you would carry out with us would be:

• Analyze the information needs of the various business areas.

• Design datasets and analytical layers oriented toward data consumption and exploitation.

• Build dashboards, reports, and other analytical products.

• Define KPIs and metrics in collaboration with the business teams.

• Design and establish a common reporting and visualization framework.

• Build, evolve, and maintain the semantic model in Looker.
• Ensure consistency between the Business Glossary, the semantic model, and the different analytical products.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers in the definition and execution of the necessary data transformations.
• Work alongside Data Governance teams on semantic definitions and data quality.
• Collaborate temporarily with different squads when analytical demand peaks occur.
