Requirements

What we're looking for

Vocational Training / Higher Degree Module in Electricity or Electronics.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position in Hotels, large buildings, or large retail spaces.
Intermediate level of English.
Teamwork.
Customer orientation.
Order and cleanliness.
Attention to detail.
Knowledge of general building plumbing, electrical installations, fire protection installations, fault detection, HVAC installations, and sanitary hot water production.
Knowledge of Legionella control and prevention is very important. (facilities with SPA and swimming pools)
General maintenance skills (carpentry, masonry, electricity, plumbing, minor gardening tasks, etc.).

The role

What you'll do

Keep the facilities in proper working order. Carry out the necessary checks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facilities.
Monitor consumption (electricity, gas/gas oil, water, energy losses, water leaks, etc.)
Monitor those materials or installations that may deteriorate due to infrequent use.
Monitor the management and quality indicators - environmental indicators of the Maintenance area.
Implement and follow up on an improvement program to increase the efficiency of the facilities and reduce energy consumption.
Coordinate and manage the resolution of problems in the operation and conservation of equipment and installations, establishing the appropriate priorities in each case.
Handle the purchasing of department materials.
Manage the storage of spare parts and consumables.
Coordinate the maintenance of the gardens.
Coordinate the maintenance of the swimming pool.
Coordinate the setup of function rooms with the in-house audiovisual equipment or that provided by the usual external supplier for events.
Supervise staff and prepare work schedules.
Communicate with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of the Hotel's services.

Requirements

We are looking for a dynamic person, with sufficient autonomy to manage the maintenance department of their hotel, with the capacity to learn and adapt, and a service-oriented mindset.
