Barcelona Culinary Hub is looking to hire a Accredited PhD Professor in the field of Economics to join its teaching and research team, with participation in undergraduate and/or postgraduate university programs related to Management, Administration, and Economics applied to gastronomic, food, and service companies.

The selected candidate will contribute to the academic development of the field, delivering high-quality teaching, participating in the continuous improvement of educational programmes and developing research activity aligned with the institution's strategic lines. Particular value will be placed on the ability to connect economic foundations with real business contexts, providing an applied, up-to-date and sector-focused vision.

• Deliver teaching in the field's subjects (Global gastronomic environments, Business sociology, consumer sociology and food sociology, and International competitive strategy) on the University Degree in Gastronomic Management and Administration.
• Design, update and develop teaching materials, learning activities, case studies, assessment systems and learning resources adapted to the student profile and the competencies of each programme.
• Apply active, participatory teaching methodologies oriented towards the practical transfer of knowledge, including case analysis, problem-based learning, simulations, debates and applied work.
• Provide academic monitoring of students, tutorials, continuous assessment and feedback oriented towards improving learning.
• Participate in the supervision and assessment of Final Degree Projects.
• Develop research activity in the field of knowledge.
• Publish research findings in scientific journals, book chapters, academic conferences or other recognised dissemination channels.

• PhD/Doctor in Economics, Business, Business Administration and Management, Finance, Social Sciences or related fields.
• Current accreditation as a university lecturer by ANECA, AQU or another recognised quality agency will be highly valued.
• University teaching experience in subjects within the field of Economics or related disciplines.
• Research experience evidenced by scientific publications, participation in conferences, research projects or dissemination activities.
• Ability to teach in Spanish. Teaching capability in English will be positively valued.
• Command of active teaching methodologies and digital tools applied to university education.
• Knowledge of the university environment, academic quality systems and monitoring processes for official degree programmes.
• Pedagogical skills, command of active methodologies and a competency-based approach.
