Job description

At Grupo Planeta we are looking for a Project Manager - Retail for our Casa del Libro division.

Their mission will be to plan, coordinate and execute bookstore opening and remodeling projects, ensuring technical, architectural and brand standards. Manage construction work, supplier coordination, budgets and store concept design to ensure a customer experience consistent with Casa del Libro.

What would your main duties be?

Project planning and design

Prepare project plans: scope, deadlines, resources, budget.

Design layouts, measurements and blueprints (including furniture, lighting and flows).

Align design with retail strategy, operations and customer experience.

Construction and remodeling management

Select suppliers and coordinate technical teams.

Supervise on-site execution and regulatory compliance.

Ensure workplace safety during execution.

Financial and documentary control

Prepare budget comparisons.

Control spending and apply corrective measures.

Manage licenses and technical documentation.

Internal coordination and communication

Align progress with Retail, Marketing, Operations and stores.

Requirements

What would we like to see on your CV?

Minimum education required: University degree in Architecture, Technical Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design or equivalent qualifications.

2-3 years of experience in a similar role.

Additional training: Project Management. Retail Design. Commercial Interior Design. Construction Management.

Tools: Advanced level in AutoCAD. Excel. Microsoft Project.

Demonstrable experience in store openings, remodeling, supplier management and budget management.
