The role

A well-established technical services company, recognized among the top 100 companies to work for in Spain, is reinforcing its technical team at a critical data center in Barcelona. This position will play a key role in supervising the data center's cooling and HVAC systems, leading the technical team responsible for ensuring the availability and efficiency of the facilities.

You will be responsible for supervising the operation and maintenance of industrial cooling, HVAC, and air conditioning systems, including chillers, CRAH/CRAC, hydraulic circuits, and liquid cooling solutions such as DLC. At the same time, you will coordinate the team of refrigeration technicians and act as the technical point of reference for incidents and operational issues.

If you are currently an Engineer, Senior Technician, or Refrigeration/HVAC Supervisor and are looking to take the next step toward a position of greater responsibility, this role offers direct exposure to critical infrastructure, a stable schedule, and the opportunity to work with increasingly relevant cooling technologies within the data center and high-density load sectors.

What you'll do

  • Supervise the daily operations and maintenance activities of the data center's cooling and air conditioning systems.
  • Direct and coordinate the team of industrial cooling and air conditioning technicians.
  • Supervise the preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems.
  • Supervise equipment such as chillers, CRAH, CRAC, pumps, heat exchangers, air handling units, and hydraulic systems.
  • Supervise and maintain chilled water circuits and systems associated with cooling distribution.
  • Participate in the operation and maintenance of Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) solutions and other cooling systems for high-density loads.
  • Monitor critical parameters of temperature, pressure, flow rate, humidity, and the performance of air conditioning systems.
  • Act as an escalation point for technical incidents related to refrigeration, HVAC, and air conditioning.
  • Coordinate work with other MEP teams, especially electricity, BMS, and general maintenance.
  • Use and supervise BMS/SCADA systems for the monitoring and control of air conditioning systems.
  • Ensure compliance with operating procedures, safety standards, and data center availability requirements.
  • Supervise suppliers and external companies during specialized maintenance work.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of procedures, technical reports, and maintenance documentation.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, mainly through remote assistance and occasional site visits.

How you'll work

  • Schedule from Monday to Friday, 08:00-18:00.
  • On-call rotation approximately every 3-4 weeks.
