What we're looking for
Railway Signaling and Safety
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of Siemens Westrace MKI and MKII electronic interlockings.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of HITACHI point machines (L826H).
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of DCO technology and/or Fiber DCO Object Detection Systems.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of medium power Uninterruptible Power Supply systems (single-phase & three-phase).
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of fire protection and air conditioning systems for Technical Building infrastructure.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of ERTMS Level 1 Automatic Train Protection Systems (Level 2 is a plus).
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of HITACHI CTC 1000 Centralized Traffic Control systems and Siemens/Dimetronic technology CTC.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of Train Detection Systems: FTGS track circuits, TCM100 and/or FS3000. Hitachi Axle Counter System.
Nice to have
- Temporary mobility to support national and international projects, returning to the initial place of origin after the support period.
- English.

Education & certifications
- Technical Engineer / Industrial Engineering Degree / Telecommunications Degree in Electronics or a related field.
- Higher Vocational Training in Electricity / Electronics / Telecommunications with demonstrated experience in the sector.
The role
Location: Madrid, Madrid, Spain
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Maintenance Engineer/Technician to join an exciting and challenging project. The position will be based in Madrid.
What you'll do
- Preventive maintenance of field and cab elements throughout the Madrid-Valladolid LAV railway facilities, within the Chamartín work center, whose scope is focused on the Community of Madrid.
How you'll work
Full time
- Shift work system according to existing needs.
- 7x24 on-call system during hours without staff presence.
