The role
The HSE Site Specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs at project sites, ensuring compliance with company policies, local regulations, and client requirements. This position focuses on incident prevention, promoting a safe working culture, and minimizing environmental impact.
What you'll do
- Develop, implement, and supervise HSE programs and procedures on construction projects, ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, and corporate policies.
- Provide guidance, support, and technical advice on HSE matters to the project team, especially field personnel, fostering a strong safety and health culture during project execution.
- Coordinate HSE activities with subcontractors, client representatives, and project management.
- Identify hazards and risks associated with project activities and ensure the implementation of effective preventive and corrective measures.
- Supervise and control high-risk activities, including electrical work, working at heights, lifting operations, and other critical tasks.
- Promote the identification, sharing, and implementation of lessons learned and best practices to support continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with client HSE requirements, contractual obligations, and applicable standards.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and management reviews, supporting the implementation of corrective and improvement actions.
- Monitor HSE performance indicators and prepare periodic reports for project teams.
