We are looking for an Area Manager for the El Corte Inglés Shop-in-Shop division in Southern Spain, who will be responsible for leading the business, developing sales teams, and ensuring operational excellence across the points of sale under their responsibility.
- Permanent contract.
- Full-time position (40 hours per week).
- Role based in Southern Spain Málaga.
- Availability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region.
- Expected start date: September 2026.
We are looking for a results-driven professional with strong leadership capabilities and proven experience managing multi-site retail operations, ideally within premium or luxury environments. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of managing complex business areas with significant turnover, combined with a strong focus on people development and the achievement of commercial objectives.
The position will have direct responsibility for a network of 17 El Corte Inglés Shop-in-Shop locations across Southern Spain and the Canary Islands, including Seville (Nervión and Duque), Córdoba, Granada, Murcia, Málaga, Marbella, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and Tenerife, as well as additional points of sale without dedicated on-site teams, such as Algeciras and Cartagena, among others.

- Utilize effective communication skills to train and develop teams, deliver exceptional customer service, drive business performance in collaboration with retail teams, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Foster the continuous development and training of employees, ensuring an outstanding customer experience while supporting business growth through effective communication and proactive problem-solving.
- Drive positive results in sales performance, profitability, and inventory management across all points of sale within the assigned area.
- Establish a goal-oriented sales culture focused on relationship selling, client development, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ensure that company policies, operational procedures, and brand standards are consistently implemented and maintained.
- Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, development, recognition, and disciplinary actions when required.
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching and direction, and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement and achieve business objectives.
- Actively participate in talent acquisition and recruitment processes for positions at all levels within the area of responsibility.
- Demonstrate outstanding leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire teams while fostering a culture of high performance, engagement, and accountability.
Your profile
- Based in Southern Spain, preferably in Málaga, Seville, or a similar location, with the willingness to relocate within the region if required.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as an Area Manager, Regional Manager, or in a similar leadership role within the retail sector.
- Previous experience managing retail operations and teams within the El Corte Inglés environment, including responsibility for high-volume turnover and the supervision of multiple points of sale.
- High availability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned region, approximately four days per week.
- Proven experience in leading, coaching, motivating, and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Previous experience within premium or luxury brands will be highly valued.
- Solid experience in monitoring and analysing business KPIs, as well as designing and implementing action plans aimed at driving business performance and achieving commercial objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, with a strong customer and results-oriented mindset.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented professional.
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent interpersonal skills.
- University degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification or MBA will be considered a plus.
- Advanced level of English (C1 proficiency).
- Valid driving licence.
